FOR PRISONS AND REHABILITATION

A farm inside the fence.

A sealed, locked growing room on the yard. Learners sow, tend and harvest to a routine the screen sets out, the kitchen gets fresh greens, and every session is on record.

PRISONS AND REHABILITATION

WHO IT’S FOR

Industries, education or reducing-reoffending leads in a prison, and the project teams planning new ones.

WHAT MATTERS TO YOU

You need purposeful activity that fills a regime, food your kitchen can use, and something you can show the inspectors and the governor.

HOW IT WOULD WORK FOR YOU

From first call to a routine.

01 · WEEK 1

Install and induction

We set the container down on hardstanding inside the perimeter, connect power, and train your instructors first, then the first group of learners.

02 · WEEK 2

First harvest

Fast microgreens such as pea shoots and radish are ready in about ten days. The first trays go to the kitchen.

03 · MONTH 3

A routine that runs itself

The door screen gives each session its jobs: what to sow, which rack to cut, what to check. Instructors supervise, and no growing experience is needed.

04 · MONTH 6

Evidence for your reports

Sessions, harvests and photos are all logged, so you can show hours of purposeful activity and food produced, not just say it.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions, answered.

Will our security department sign it off?

Everything sits inside one lockable steel container with a single door. We will give your security team the full parts list and drawings before anything is ordered. We provide everything your security team needs to carry out its own assessment.

What tools are inside?

Very few: trays, seed and scissors for cutting. No soil to dig, no hand tools left in a yard. The tool list is part of the pack your security team reviews, and you decide how cutting tools are controlled.

Does it need the internet?

No. The Brain runs the lights, watering and climate on its own and keeps working with no connection at all, which suits a secure site. Phone alerts need a connection; without one, the door screen does the same job.

Who runs it day to day?

A small supervised group with an instructor. The screen tells them what to do each session, so no growing experience is needed. It is short daily sessions, and we confirm the hours from our first container before you commit.

Can learners gain a qualification?

Not yet. We are looking for an awarding partner so horticulture and food hygiene units can count.

Can the kitchen use what it grows?

Yes. Every tray is logged with readings and daily photos, which helps your catering team keep its food-safety records. We agree how it fits your kitchen plan before the first harvest.
