FOR LANDOWNERS WITH SOLAR
Your solar field, now a farm.
Use the power your panels already make to grow food on the same land. We size the load with you, including grid or battery cover for nights and the winter months.

HOW IT WOULD WORK FOR YOU
From first call to a routine.

01 · DAY ONE
We size the power together
Before anything else, we give you the load figures so you and your installer can see how much of it your array covers across the year.
02 · INSTALL
Beside the array
The container sits on hardstanding near your panels. Your electrician connects it to your supply.
03 · SUMMER
Running on your own power
Through the day the lights and climate draw on what your panels make, instead of you exporting it.
04 · WINTER
Grid or battery takes over
On short days and at night, your grid supply or batteries carry the load and the crop keeps growing.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Common questions, answered.
Can it run on solar alone?
Not all year in the UK. Winter days are short and the lights run for many hours, so you will need grid supply or batteries as well. In winter, the grid or a battery covers the shortfall.
How much power does it draw?
It depends on the crop and the season. Lights and climate control are the main load, and winter needs more. We work out daily and peak figures for your site and give them to you in writing before you commit.
Do you supply the panels and batteries?
No. Solar and batteries are not included. We work with your installer on the numbers.
Is it worth it compared with exporting?
Power you export usually earns less per unit than power you would otherwise buy, so using it on site can be the better deal. The sums depend on your tariff, so we work them through with you.
Will it affect my grid connection?
It adds a load to your site. Check with your installer and your network operator; we give them the figures they need.
Who does the growing?
Someone on your team, a few hours a week. The Brain runs the racks and messages a phone when something needs a person.
GOOD TO KNOW
Running costs
Solar reduces what it costs to run, especially from spring to autumn. Grid supply or batteries keep it growing through the night and the winter months.

SEE IT WORKING
No farm to visit yet. A live walkthrough instead.
We are planning our first demo container. Until it is ready, we show you a running cabinet and the Brain on a thirty-minute video call, and answer your questions as we go.
